We understand the specific requirements of your industry, the need for consistency of colour and film thickness. Most orders are for a series of light fittings to be used alongside one another. Even the slightest deviation in colour would be very obvious. We also coat lighting equipment for the medical sector. Here the light components will often be part of a larger piece of equipment and therefore assembly tolerances will be critical.

Light fittings are exposed to bright light and heat over extensive periods. Specialist heat resistant coatings designed for these components are available. These will offer a level of protection to preserve colour and gloss levels over time.

INTRICOAT for light fittings

Masking, bunging and a high level of control are important in the coating of light fittings. Masking is often required prior to coating and, through our INTRICOAT service we work with various materials to ensure the integrity and accuracy of these critical details.

INTRICOAT offers ultra-precise, defect-free, intricate powder coating with powder coat masking for low volume machined components.

We will design a powder scheme with you to a very high degree of accuracy on a 3D CAD system, meaning that potential pitfalls can be ruled out at the design stage before any prototypes need to be made.

After powder coating, the finished components are carefully checked for accuracy of coating and cosmetic appearance. This is all carried out in a separate facility within our plant, used solely for INTRICOAT purposes.
