Ian has an incredibly wide knowledge of all things powder coating, wet paint, assembly and testing, and is our Coatings Engineer. Ian joined us in 2020, after working for Triumph Motorcycles Ltd for many years, setting up that firm’s latest overseas coating plants. His role has particular focus on specialist solutions with a high level of process and quality control.

With a PhD in polymer chemistry Nick has worked with us for over five years on surface treatments to improve the joint strength of bonded structures, primarily targeted at the automotive industry. One outcome of this work is adhesive-free PowderBondPP. Nick is the inventor on six patents, including anti-stain coatings for resilient flooring and GIPT in-mould coating of plastics.

James brought with him a wealth of management experience when he joined us in 2011, having been responsible for over 50 employees in manufacturing operations at the age of twenty-six and achieving MCIPS accreditation. James joined as Operations Manager and was appointed Director four years later in 2015. He leads Sales and Marketing for the business.

Paul joined us with valuable experience gained in his previous role as line supervisor at Lear. He is our Quality Engineer, responsible for ensuring that all processes are carried out within strict process controls, through monitoring and adjustment. This includes pre-treatment processes as well as daily testing samples from each coating line to ensure elements such as gloss, adhesion and colour levels are correct and consistent.

Andrew trained in LEAN methodology and Six-sigma principles and joined Powdertech Surface Science as Production Manager. He has a lot of experience in managing complex production operations where strong people management skills are needed to guarantee the quality of finished products.

Marion’s career has certainly not seen her stuck in a rut, moving from trainee hairdresser to running print machines for IBM for nine years, to HGV1 driver at Heathrow. She then moved to administration work within the motor trade and now our office administration benefits from Marion’s accumulated skills.
