Powdertech Surface Science has underlined its commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices through achieving ISO 14001 certification, approved by LRQA.
Our Operational Director Phil Tyler said, “As a business, doing things the right way is very important to us. Over the last four years we have invested £1.6m in our facilities and, more importantly to me, we have also invested in our team through recruitment and extensive staff training.’’

He has organised and implemented the physical measures required throughout our business and set up systems to ensure that the necessary documentation is up to date at all times.”

To achieve ISO 14001 certification, we:
Regularly monitor and review control measures to drive continuous improvement. Our efforts are tracked through green KPIs, ensuring that our processes align with our environmental goals.
Dedicate an average of 4-6 hours each week to maintaining and refining our Environmental Management System (EMS), reflecting our proactive approach to environmental management.
Collaborate with waste collection services at least once a month to ensure responsible disposal and recycling practices.
Conduct regular audits of both our QMS and EMS. These audits verify that we adhere to ISO 14001’s stringent standards and are constantly improving our systems and processes.
