TiZr pre-treatment for perfect powder coating
Powdertech provides an optimised titanium-zirconium (TiZr) passivation pre-treatment for aluminium which is chrome-free. The passivation process is achieved in a ten-stage PLC controlled immersion treatment process in which the aluminium surface is cleaned and etched, removing the existing oxide deposit and converting it to a consistent TiZr oxide. This passivation layers offers a stable base for the adherence of a consistent powder coated layer and also protection against corrosion.
